Woot! just came back from Nan Hua Sec. DAMN NICE AH! lol. was invited by Vincent to watch their concert and that school is huge man.... haha but more importantly their Symphonic Band rocks!! haha.
Well, i kinda think that Ghost Fleet was a shaky start... not very firm but still... NICE! 2nd song was one of the best, "Kaze No Mai " dancing in the wind. I kinda like Kaze no Mai... perhaps it is because that their are already warmed up after Ghost Fleet, i find that their synchronisation is perfect.
3rd song, Anthem for Winds And Percussion is also nice also though it didn't make a huge impression.
4th song, Hot Latin! haha, the conductor starts to get so HOT! lol... really his expressions are funny, but can see that he and the whole band is really enjoying what they are doing. (:
5th song Where the River flows is a song with impact and an ultimate test to their dynamics. with the frequent switch between loud and soft to express the different strengths of the river. Very well, played piece.
INTERVAL!! i saw this gal who i supposed play the flute!! she look like a mini version of Kui Lun Mei,(isit liddat spell anot?) that female lead of Secret. haha and i saw this Alumni for their band... who looked like my previous tuition classmate... and i WAS seated beside my maths tuition classmate... LOL think she remembered who i am... =s

A relative small band, but the sound quality definitely does not lose out to the full nan hua band.
Highlights from chess didn't make much of an impact on me but as i said all the pieces are enjoyable, i just prefer certain pieces to others...
Broadway in the 90s! haha victor kept reminding me about 116 Broadway from the movie Enchanted. -.-Magic Mirror! haha. This song is GOOD!! It's is a medley of The Circle of Life (Lion King), Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast ), The Moment (Kekyll & Hyde), Godspeed Titanic (Titanic) and Seasons of Love (Rent). But what i mostly heard was circle of life and beauty and the beast.. maybe cos i'm not familiar with the rest of the songs, but REALLY!! those two songs are enough!! sooo nice!
Instant Concert is the last peice by the alumni band and is cool, haha cos they combined alot of oldies and famous pieces played by bands and this quirkiness made a lsting impression on me.
Mulan!! medley again, and a very beautifully arranged one!! I LOVED THIS!! songs includes Honor To Us All,I'll Make A Man Out Of You, A girl woeth Fighting For and Reflection. Reflection is my favorite part and the best part!! Really rich emotions there!!
Last in the tables of content is Saturday Night Fever, nice but not attractive to me though, but i msut say, all the songs are very well arranged and played.

lol... Surprise piece was Sponge Bob Square Pants, funny finale. haha but to be able to play that wierd piece into such a nice song... APPLAUSE!!!!!
haha, Piano Competition starts today.. feel like going to watch... XD
